New House Photos!!
These are not photos of Miss K, but they are photos of our new house!! And since we will all be living there, and Miss K is as excited, if not more so, than all the rest of us, I thought it appropriate to share the photos on here!!

Here's the view when you walk in the front door

Here's the living room, this one is a great shot of the built-in bookcase

This is the living room, almost in the dining room, and Tracy said she'll leave these shelving units for us to have

This is the dining room...the door you see to the left leads into the bonus room....I LOVE the glass door :) Tracy and Tim MIGHT sell us this dining room table and chair set...GORGEOUS!!

This is a shot of the bonus room.

This is the new kitchen, there's a closer view coming next...

These next three are the kitchen, going from the right to the left - I LOVE the granite and backsplash tiles they chose!!
The sink is nice and deep :) Oh and to Kylah's delight, we will have a trash compactor (it's on the right, dishwasher is on the left)!!
You can see over the counter into the breakfast nook area....it's now painted a nice khaki color

This is right behind the sink, or I guess you could say directly opposite? Brand new stove (cooktop?) and oven....AWESOME!!

Closer view of the breakfast nook

Bedroom #1 (this MIGHT be Kylah's room, we haven't decided yet)

Bedroom #2 (we might make this one Kylah's room instead, but it'd be an awfully perfect nursery!!)

Master Bedroom (MUCH bigger than I thought it was going to be....their nightstand table is HUGE compared to ours, so I know all of our furniture will fit!!)

Playing with Photos
So I've been playing around with photos a lot the last couple weeks. Bran hooked up the scanner to my computer and I've been working on getting all my wedding photos scanned in. Then he got me some photo editing software, so I've been using it to "spruce up" some old photos. Here are some of my latest creations...

This is Kylah in her Halloween costume, with a Halloween frame added.

Here's one of our Easter photos, with the "time machine" feature...doesn't it just look gorgeous??

Here's one of Kylah's 7th birthday photos, with a frame around it...

Last, but not least, here's one of our Christmas photos, of Kylah decorating the tree, in sepia tones.

Hope you enjoyed :)

Science Museum
Since it was rainy and kinda yuck-o still (and daddy had the day off work), we decided to head over to the Science Museum of Oklahoma today. What a great day!!

Here's one of me and Miss K right after we got there - we were waiting for the Science Live demonstration to start.

The demonstration was really cool - it was all about explosions. A few of them really scared Miss K, but she walked away talking about how much she loved it!!

Next we headed to the Tinkering Garage. It was a lot of different hands-on things you could play with and manipulate.
Here's one of Miss K cutting up a paper cup to see how it would fly over the air vent.
Here's one of Bran doing the same thing.

Right next to the air vents, there were wood stick toys to build things with. Here's Bran and his creation....

Here's Kylah and her "treehouse" - I told her it looked more like an arrow, but that it was an awesome treehouse :)
Next thing we went to see was the stuff in the middle of the Museum - I have no idea what it was called, but there were a LOT of different science concepts and things to play with and experiment around with.
One of the things were these robotic arms that you control with joysticks - here's Kylah trying to pick up a rubber ball.

Here's a little thing where you pump air in and it makes the tubes inside sink...Kylah tried as hard as she could to pump the air in, but wasn't quite strong enough.

Here's Kylah and daddy rolling wheels down a ramp - Bran turned it into an experiment where she had to guess which one would roll faster - Kylah got it right!! She's awfully smart!!

Here's Kylah lying on a bed of nails...she said it hurt!!

Here's Kylah and daddy trying to play 20 questions....unfortunately the server was down so it wouldn't work.

Here's Kylah playing with gears, seeing how many she could get to turn all at once.

Here's Bran doing his favorite thing - ORIGAMI!!

Last, but not least, we went upstairs to the "Brain Games" area - here's Kylah playing Simon Says.

We had to head out right after this to get Miss K to Taekwondo....but have a lot of wonderful memories of our super fun day-after-Fourth-of-July :)

4th of July fun :)
After much changing of plans due to the yuck-o weather, we finally decided to hang out at Adrienne and Michael's apartment for the Fourth of July this year. It was sooooo much fun!! We sat around and played Scene It Squabble (which is like a boys vs girls version) and dominos. It was a BLAST!! The yuck-o rain canceled our plans for fireworks, so we decided to just have tons and tons of fun indoors this year!!

I didn't take a lot of pics, but I got a few good ones...

Here's Miss K with her Auntie Adrie and Uncle Mikey, right after we got to their apartment.

Here's one of Brandon showing Kylah a really super cool card trick...

I found the timer function on my camera, and when playing with it discovered that it'll take a picture 2 seconds after 1 or 2 faces are detected....so here's my attempt with me and my lovely wonderful awesome Mom #2 :)

Here's Miss K and her daddy....what a precious picture!!

Here's one of Bran and his daddy.

And last, but not least, here is one of me and my awesome hubby!! He is the most amazing husband and father...I thank God that I found him and Miss K :) Love you honey!!

Hope everyone had as awesome of a Fourth of July as we did!!

All Dolled Up....
So I decided to be a girly-girl mom, since Miss K loves to be all girly-girl every chance she gets, and put her hair in hot rollers.

Here are the before pictures...

And here are the after pictures.

I'm going to have to say I did pretty darn good!!

We are off to Jamie's 25th birthday party....if any pics are taken, I will share tomorrow!!

Zoo Trip
OK so here's another set of photos I need to get on here before it's another year LOL!!

Back in April, Kylah's half-sister Tamara came for a quick visit before she and her family moved to Hawaii. We met up with the Boyetts at the Oklahoma City Zoo and had an absolute BLAST!! The girls were SO PRECIOUS together, it just blew me away. Brandon and I shed many tears over the sweet sweet memories. We've decided that we WILL be going to Hawaii to visit at some point, Kylah had so much fun seeing her sister!!

Now for the pictures....

Here's one of us waiting before the Boyetts got there (notice the big ole gap where her teeth are missing):

Here's one of Kylah and Tamara right when we met up:

Not the greatest pic, but here's one of them holding hands - they held hands the ENTIRE day!!

Here's one of the two girls posing:

Kylah hopped up onto Tamara's back before too long....Tamara did a WONDERFUL job of carting her around :)

All in all it was a fabulous day and we hope to have many more with the Boyetts!!
No More Excuses....
Geez I'm terrible at this blogging thing. I thought it would be easy and I would be great at keeping up with posting but I'M NOT!!

So now it's full on summertime and there are no more excuses!! Although I've posted most of these pics on facebook, I'm going to go ahead and post some of my summer pics on here too!!

We signed up to do Kids Bowl Free, and this was our first bowling trip. We figured out it's probably the first time Miss K has ever been bowling. Here she is after throwing her first ball:

Here's a (very bad) pic of me and my girl (bad of me anyway, great pic of her so I had to keep it ya know!!)

We went with the McCrary's and Michelle showed Kylah how to granny bowl, here she is getting the hang of it :)

Here's Miss K taking over the computer:

Other than our bowling trip, we've been going to my parents' house to swim. I bought Miss K a new bikini, which seems to be the only kind of bathing suit she wants to wear these days (I'm not complaining b/c they fit her better too since she's soooo tall and skinny). Here she is getting sunscreen sprayed on her:

That's it for today. Promise I'll do better about staying current with this. Lots more pics to come, I SWEAR!!
