My parents, Warren and Kathy, had to rush Looie J Dog to the emergency vet on Friday evening. He was lying half in his bed, half on the floor, moaning in pain. They gave him IV fluids and did all kinds of tests to see what was wrong with him, but they weren't able to figure out what was causing him to be in so much pain and so sick. He wasn't producing any urine, which means that his kidneys had shut down. Saturday morning they tried one last round of antibiotics, which didn't help enough, so my parents had to make the painful decision to put him to sleep. He was just too miserable.
Here is a picture of Looie J Dog, AKA Loopy J, sleeping in his bed a few years ago. This is how I like to remember him...lazy as anything and oh so happy about it :)
So it's been forever. I have like a million reasons why it's been so long since my last post, the number one reason being that I LOST MY CAMERA!! It's very difficult to maintain a picture blog without a digital camera. I did some major cleaning a few weeks ago and finally found it.
So this new post is all about OUR BABIES!! We found a breeder in Inola, OK, which is east of Tulsa, and drove up this past Saturday to put a deposit down and choose our puppies.
Here's a pic of Brandon driving up to Inola.

Kylah was "a little sleepy" so here she is trying to sleep with the sun shining right in her eyes :)

I left my camera in the car while we chose the puppies, so I don't have any pics of them yet.
But on our way back, we stopped to visit my Grandma Jane (Kylah's Great-Grandma Jane) and Grandpa Bull. She sat and talked with us for a while, but soon grew tired of being an adult and went to find the toys. The first thing she found was a Minnie Mouse bubble whistle, and she went outside to blow bubbles.

So the breeder thought the puppies were only 2-3 weeks old, so we thought we had to wait 4 weeks to go pick the puppies up. Wednesday Brandon received a call from the breeder say he just got their papers, and the puppies are actually 5 weeks old. He had them de-wormed, clipped their ears, got their initial vaccinations, and called to tell us to come and get them ASAP because they were ready. So we scrambled and made plans very quickly. Thank GOD for Brandon's amazing family, Adrienne was willing to watch Kylah so we didn't have to drag her with us. So we ran up to Petco and got a bed, some food, a chew toy, and their leashes. The very very essential things. And then we got in the car and drove back up to Inola and got the puppies. Here are some pictures I took of them in our bathroom, which is where we are keeping them for the time being. We will slowly introduce them to the rest of the apartment, but right now we don't want them wandering around. At least not til they're housebroken :)
Meet Lois Lane and Clark Kent. (what can I say, my husband loves Superman). Lois is the black one, Clark is the chocolate one.

Clark perked up and ran around exploring his new home.

Here he is chewing on a corner of his bed.

Lois was sleepy, and was just waiting til she could curl up and go to sleep.

Seeing as to how he literally was halfway in his food bowl, we think Clark was a little bit hungry. He got very carsick, and threw up at least 2 times.
